Memory of the World Metadata Collector

Overview

This system was established as part of the UNESCO Memory of the World programme to systematically collect metadata on documentary heritage from around the world.

Based on the collected metadata, UNESCO ICDH (International Centre for Documentary Heritage) aims to build a Documentary Heritage Digital Hub to preserve and share valuable documentary heritage information with the world.

• Standardization and systematic collection of Memory of the World metadata
• Digital preservation and improved accessibility of documentary heritage information
• Establishing a data foundation for international documentary heritage network
• Supporting the UNESCO Memory of the World nomination process
